Los dibujos de Silke Schatz reexaminan edificios y lugares que le han marcado a lo largo de su vida. Estas exploraciones conducen a los espectadores a través de diagramas mentales que intentan describir la brecha que hay entre los significados personales asociados a un sitio y sus propiedades físicas. El dibujo a gran escala Today Kalea Foru, Hondarribia, 1985 y las correspondientes maquetas han sido creados por la artista para la exposición en el Kursaal, tras dos excursiones por el País Vasco. Del mismo modo que gran parte de sus obras anteriores, este nuevo dibujo sobrepone la memoria de la artista en diversos niveles: las imágenes de la primera visita de Schatz a Hondarribia, que tuvo lugar cuando la artista era una adolescente, están filtradas por la experiencia de una visita más reciente al País Vasco. Estos mapas psicológicos y auto referenciales se presentan en contraste con una historia y una cultura ajenas a la suya.
