Roth, Daniel
1969 Schramberg, lives in Karlsruhe (Germany).

venue: Koldo Mitxelena

Daniel Roth's meticulously executed maps, dioramas and photographic scenarios are, like ruins in reverse, descriptive memorandums of impossible futures. Consistently exploring imaginary topographies and secret passages, Roth lays out an atlas of fictional nations, clandestine societies and undiscovered civilizations. Roth writes an individualized form of psychogeography by allowing paranoia and conspiracy theory to overtake physicality in his distinctly personal worlds.Transforming every representation of a living space into a maze of digressions and intricate mindscapes, Roth follows the tortuous paths connecting reality to the labyrinth of our brains.
